Cairo is one of the world's great cities, a stunning blend of the
ancient and modern world, which one hopes to see at some time in their life.

Situated on the River Nile, it is famous for its history -
preserved in the fabulous medieval Islamic and Christian monuments and in Old Cairo - and for the ancient, Pharaonic history seen at the
Cairo Museum and, of course, at the Great Pyramids and Sphinx.  In
April, the weather will be pleasant and mild, matching the hospitality
and kindness of the Egyptian people.

As you fly into to Cairo, you will look out the window and see the
contrast of the setting. Out of one side of the plane, you will see
the vast seemingly never-ending arid desert; out of the other side you
will find a busy city that looks like a modern day oasis. Travelers
